My Recently Added Music

It’s been a while since we’ve talked, hasn’t it? Almost 2 months… I miss you guys, but we’ll talk about that in another post that’s coming up soon. (Hear that? Soon. Let’s all cross our fingers…)

So, I’ve been listening to a lot of new music lately and wanted to share that with you all. I thought of doing another 10 Songs I’m Loving post, but I have a bit more than 10 to share, so I’m settling for this.

If you guys listen to any of the songs mentioned here, comment down below, and maybe even share some of your new favorites so we can all find some great new music!

1. Surreal (feat. NOVAA) by Alex Lustig – Song

Chill. That’s the word I’d use to describe this song. It has an amazing beat, and the whole vibe of the song is very relaxed and almost trippy in a way. The beat just completely engulfs you and makes you feel every vibration. This song is also giving me Troye Sivan Happy Little Pill vibes, which I’m loving.

2. Ritual by In This Moment – Album

I first listened to Joan of Arc because of American Satan (AHHHHH! THAT MOVIE WAS SO GOOD. ANDY. AH! I CAN’T TALK ABOUT IT RIGHT NOW!), but soon fell in love with In This Moment’s music, so I downloaded the whole album, and have been listening to this a lot over the last couple of weeks.

3. Boom Boom Room (Side A) by Palaye Royale – Album

I’m not gonna lie. I so rocked out to Mr. Doctor Man before writing this little blurb… I’m not exaggerating when I say that I’ve been listening to that song nonstop for the last 2 weeks. No joke. My friends are sick of hearing me talk about it. I’ve been obsessed with Palaye Royale as a whole since watching American Satan. I’m not gonna get too into talking about them, because you might be seeing a post about them soon…

4. Caroline by Aminé – Song

This one is super different compared to all the songs I’ve mentioned and just listen to in general. My friend kept singing this and it got stuck in my head, so I downloaded it and… It’s a bit of a guilty pleasure song. It’s catchy, okay! Stop judging me. Actually give it a listen, it’s pretty good…

5. Sick Boy by The Chainsmokers – Song

And The Chainsmokers strike again. I can’t name one song by them that I haven’t absolutely loved. I’m a little confused as to why I’ve been seeing so many bad reviews of this song, because in my opinion, it’s one of their best songs to date. I do have to say, it sounds really similar to Heathens by Twenty One Pilots, which I like, but still find a bit weird.

6. You by 11:11 – Song

This is yet another song that’s really really different from what I usually listen to. My friend’s music taste is literally the opposite of mine, and we’re both finding some great songs from each other, hence the drastic change in genres 😂. This song is really chill and just has a very laid back, cool kind of vibe. (That sounds really lame, but it’s a good song lmao).

7. Vale by Black Veil Brides – Album

I’m not freaking out, you’re the one that’s freaking out. (Also, I’m so singing along to Wake Up while writing this) I’m so proud of them. I can’t even put my feelings into words. This album is pure gold. Every song on here is amazing. I have nothing to say, to be honest. I don’t know, I might do a little music review on the album even though it’s been out for like a month now. If you haven’t listened to this, then… what are you waiting for? Go. Now.

8. Rain by The Script – Song

This is a lot pop-ier compared to the songs I usually listen to, but it’s a nice change. I get some serious The Vamps vibes from The Script, and I actually like that, even though I’m not he biggest fan of them. (Again, a recommendation from Wed. Maybe your taste in music isn’t that bad…)

9. Velvet Noose by Thunderpussy -Song

The name of the song and band are both amazing. I just had to get that out of the way. Thunderpussy have this really old rock vibe going on for them, and I’m all for it. If you aren’t relaly into classic rock, I don’t think you’ll enjoy their music, but go ahead and  give it a listen anyways.

10. I Love You, Will You Marry Me by YUNGBLUD – Song

I went through a phase where I wouldn’t listen to anything except this. I mean I would literally just listen to this. It’s such a good punk song; I mean it fits all the criteria: a sad love story, loud beat, and catchy lyrics. I feel like they have a bit of a Greenday vibe, which I really really like.

11. Raised Under Grey Skies by JP Cooper – Album

Oh, look. Yet another recommendation from Wed. I’m so surprised. JP Cooper is what I picture Ed Shereen and Sam Smith’s love child would be like. His music is just so good! AH! I feel like I’m repeating the same thing for each of these 🤦🏽‍♀️. I also like the acoustic versions of his songs, it just adds a whole other layer to how good this is.

12. Entertainment by Waterparks – Album

A friend of mine is obsessed with Waterparks now, and she’s basically forcing me to listen to them, but I don’t really mind it because guess what? THEY’RE REALLY GOOD! I just noticed that I’m comparing each of these songs or artists with another, but it’s the best way I know of describing music, I’m sorry. Anyways, Waterparks reminds me of Troye Sivan’s early music mixed with Melanie Martinez. Just watch one of their music videos, and you’ll understand.

That’s all I have for you guys today! As I mentioned, I’ll be posting more now, but not 3 times a week, sadly. That’s a bit unrealistic, for me at this point. I’m aiming to post twice a week; on Mondays and Fridays. Saying that I’ll be seeing you on Monday with a new post!

Much love, Rawan 🖤  …
