Whether you’re new at blogging or have been publishing posts for over a decade, you’ll want to check out these 4 podcasts.
I think podcasts are one of the best sources of information and tips because you can just listen to them while you’re on the go. I mostly listen to them on my way back from school because I have a 45-minute commute in the morning and the afternoon.
Without any further rambling, let’s get on to the podcasts!
by Brandon Gaille
I only started listening to The Blog Millionaire a couple days ago, but I’ve got to say: I think this is one of my top 2 favorite blogging podcasts at the moment.
The first thing you notice is the quality of the podcast. God, I don’t think I’ve ever heard a podcast with such high-quality audio and graphics.
The second thing you’ll pick up when you get through at least half-way through your first episode is that he has a no bullshit kind of attitude. He jumps straight into the point of the episode and wastes no time trying to pitch meaningless brands and posts at you. When you click the episode, you’ll get exactly what he tells you in the title. No extra shit.
One other thing I like is that the episodes aren’t overly long. I don’t want to be sitting there for 45 minutes straight just listening to you talk, I want to be able to listen and digest the information in 20-ish minutes and then go and apply it on my blog. Does that make any sense or am I just rambling?
A weird point I also noted down was about his voice. I know this sounds really stalker-ish, but if you’re going to be listening to someone speak for an extended period of time, then their voice might as well sound good, right? Brandon Gaille has this stereotypical deep radio kind of voice that I enjoy listening to. I sound really creepy. I know. Forgive me.
A downside to this podcast is that there aren’t that many episodes; only about 50 or so, but other than that, it’s all 5 stars for me!
by Darren Rowse
ProBlogger is one of the first podcasts that I listened, and continue to listen, to consistently. I actually think that every blogger out there has heard of Darren Rowse; he’s almost like the all knowing father of the blog community. Not only has he been blogging for over 13 years, but he’s putting out content on a regular schedule that actually helps bloggers.
I’ve learned a lot just from listening to an episode every week or so. And oh my god, don’t get me started on his courses! He had this one podcast series for getting back your blogging groove after a slump, and I actually think it’s the main reason why I’m still blogging.
You don’t even need to be a full-time blogger who wants to make money to listen to this podcast; Darren shares information that’s universal and benefits all bloggers around the world.
About the voice thing; he has an Australian accent. I don’t have to say anything else.
By Renee Groskreutz
I Teach Blogging might not have the best quality audio or graphics, but it has some of the most helpful content I’ve seen in a long while.
She’ll give you some of the best quick, actionable tips you’ll ever hear. I mean I can listen to one of her episodes and actually start working as she’s talking! She’s not as popular as she should be.
Her personality is one of the brightest and funnest (most fun? I don’t know), she almost feels like a friend when you listen to her episodes one after another.
As I said before, her episodes are nice and quick, and if you have any questions then I strongly recommend you go and ask her on her blog. She has a questions section, that she actually checks and replies to (like within 24-48 hours). I say this from experience because I’ve actually contacted her a couple times in the past.
(I’m planning on doing an interview with her soon, look out for that in the coming weeks/months)
Social Media Marketing Happy Hour Podcast: Where Social Media Marketing & Network Marketing Come Together
by Dawn Marrs Ortiz & Traci Reuter
Dawn and Traci are literally the world’s best podcast duo! I stand by this 100%! If you’ve been looking for a podcast which will help you boost your blog while not being boring then this is the podcast for you!
They give you helpful tips that are easy to apply, yourself, at home, while still being funny and exciting.
They deliver the information in a different way, more padded in a sense. Not like The Blog Millionaire, actually quite the opposite. They have fun little conversations in between and give examples you can actually relate to.
If you’re in the mood to laugh and learn then you should check out Social Media Marketing Happy Hour.
Much love, Rawan …
