10 Songs I’m Loving at the Moment #11

It’s been almost 5 months since I shared my favorite songs with you. Did you miss them? Probably not.

To be frank, I just haven’t had time to listen to any new music. I have a lot of work to do for school, and I usually just watch Netflix when I’m free, so you didn’t really miss much if I’m being honest.

Some of these songs are kind of popular, and some are more… I don’t know what to call them. Hipster? You get what I mean. Let’s just get into the songs.

1. Dead Man Walking // Jon Bellion

I don’t think you know what it means when I say that this song has been my actual obsession for the past month.

The tune is so great, but when you listen to the song, you’re like: what the fuck are these lyrics.

So basically this guy slept with his sister’s best friend, he then wrote a song about how she’s going to kill him if she ever found out. Doesn’t sound like it would be a good song, but it’s actually great, as you can tell from me going on and on about it.

2. Greenlight // Lorde

The queen has made her come back. We shall all bow down.

Pure Heroin was one of my all time favorite chill albums to relax to, and it will most probably stay that way, but Greenlight. Greenlight is such a great song to listen to when you just want to jump around and be in a good mood.

Yes, it might not correlate to the lyrics much, but the music is just so god damn happy and jumpy that you just can’t stop your head from nodding along.

If you haven’t listened to any of her older music, then GO! WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR?!

3. Believer // Imagine Dragons

After a long awaited wait, a new Imagine Dragons’ song has immerged out of the wild forest we call PUT OUT SOME GODDAMN MUSIC, ALREADY! Some other artists on that list include: 5 Seconds of Summer, 5 Seconds of Summer, 5 Seconds of Summer. (sorry, I’m having some withdrawal symptoms, please ignore all the 5sos ranting)

Anyways, this song has been my go to morning/study song for the past week. It’s just so yeah! You can get this done! and pushes you to go and do what you want to.

Nothing like the music I listen to usually.

(Also, the cover of the single looks so good. Ugh. I love it.)

(Can you tell I  have nothing more to say?)

4. Wa$Ted ¥Ou†h // Roy English

I don’t know why it took me so long to actually listen to any of Roy’s music (especially because he’s so close to 5sos. Sorry, I won’t mention them again, I swear.)

I listened to most of his music, and for some reason, Wasted Youth just stuck with me. It’s just the perfect chill song to listen to when you want to lay down and just relax. (I hate using the word chill… I know I use it a lot. It’s the only word that comes to mind, okay.)

For some (dumb as fuck) reason, I thought he was British. I don’t know, it’s just with his name… He’s American for those like me who didn’t know.

5. Sad Song // We the Kings ft. Elena Coats

Why are We the Kings so underrated? They need way more fans than they already do. I’m talking millions. (ignore the little hipster in me)

The song itself is actually a really cute love song. I don’t know, the lyric video and the whole feel of the song scream aww.

Single Af. I know.

I would also give the remix (the one with Olivia Holt. I embedded the video below) a chance because it’s actually really good. I would say slightly better than the original.

6. Stranger // X Ambassador

Ah, a little throwback here. A lovely alternative/rock 2013 release that’s been hiding in my music library for a while now.

You know that feeling when one of your favorite songs comes up out of nowhere on shuffle and you’re just taken aback with the memory of your love for it? Yeah, me and any song off the Love Songs Drug Songs have that relationship.

7. Beautiful Liar // VIXX LR

I can already hear Jana freaking out. My best friend’s really into Kpop if you couldn’t tell.

I don’t have a lot to tell you about this song, but I did want to say that I love the slow-to-fast pace of this.

(The music video is also really good, totally worth a shot)

8. Eraser // Ed Shereen

Ah, we’re all waiting for Ed’s new album to pop up here, I know. You don’t need to wait anymore.

This is one of the songs that really hooked me when I first listened to the album, and I think it’s one of the timeless songs that people in 10 years will still sing along to.

I also wanted to mention that I really liked Shape of You in the beggining, but then it got way over played, and I just couldn’t stand it anymore. (I still like to listen to it every once in a while though)

9. Galway Girl // Ed Shereen

I want to meet one person who doesn’t sing and dance along to Galway Girl. NO ONE CAN DO IT!

It’s just so… dancey. But in a good way.

Ed Shereen is just so good. There’s nothing else I can say. I’m really happy that he’s releasing new music now.

10. Outsider // Black Veil Brides

Do I have to say anything?

My babies came out with new music 2 months ago.

I’ve had Outsider playing for 2 months straight.

No regrets.

Much love, Rawan ❤ …
