Okay, so I didn’t post on Monday, sorry.
I’ve had finals and I wasn’t able to post or write at all actually, but now I’m back and I want to share something that I’ve been completely obsessed with recently.
I started The Selection series by Keira Cass at the end of December, and read the whole 5 book series in under 6 days.
I think you get the idea. I found my new fandom!
I got the The Selection box set as a secret Santa gift in 2015 but never got around to reading it. The main reason why is a prejudice thought I had based on the covers.
I so thought these books were going to be some kind of trashy romance with a shitty insta-love plot, especially after I found out that there was going to be a love triangle. I’m not going to go too in-depth into why I liked and disliked this series, because I want to write a whole review on it, but I will mention that when you start it, you will not be able to put the book down, and when you finish it, you’ll have to pick up the next one.
This is the kind of series that will keep you hooked to the last word.
Also, this whole series is perfect for when you’re in a reading slump and want something quick and fluffy to read in a day or two. As I mentioned, I marathoned the whole thing in 6 days, which is a book a day, so if that doesn’t tell you that this is some good shit, then I don’t know what will.
Something that I didn’t really know is that the last two books, The Heir, and The Crown, aren’t exactly in the same series as the first 3 books. It technically is, but I think of it as a trilogy with a spin-off duology because the last 2 follow a different main character.
That’s all I’m going to be talking about in today’s post, but I *hopefully* will be doing a whole review as I mentioned.
Goodbye, and till next time…
