Are you seeing this a pattern here? I start series, get far into them, and then… just stop…
I’m back, with the 10th installment of a post series on RMAI where I simply share some of the songs I’m loving at the moment.
No further links or anything, I just list 10 songs and a though I have about them, these are actually my favorite posts to write because they’re so short!
Anyways, the usual disclaimer:
I’m into pop-punk, rock, alternative etc., if you’re looking for a diverse list, then this probably isn’t the post for you. Thank you.
1. Bang Bang by Greenday
I don’t know how to express my happiness for getting new music by them! 4 YEARS FOR NEW MUSIC IS TOO LONG AND NOW THE WAIT IS OVER!
2. Perfect Illusion by Lady Gaga
I’m Gaga Trash, and new music is always exciting. I have nothing more to say, she’s perfection, and this is also hyping me up for season 6 of AHS which is probably out by the time you’re reading this.
3. Work This Out by Litany
I was going through this Apple Music station, and they played this song. It’s been stuck in my head for weeks now, and the single cover is really vintage and eye catching.
If you want something more quite and alternative-y then this is a great song to check out.
4. Lotus Eater by Mura Masa
This is supposedly under hip hop, but I don’t really see where they got that idea. It’s more of alternative meets electronic with a slight tinge of rap. It’s really cool if you want something with minimal lyrics for writing or studying etc.
5. Who Knows (feat. Chronixx) by Protoje
Some of you might not know this, but I’m a fan of reggae. Okay, not really, just when I’m in the mood to kick back and relax. But this song is a great modern twist on root reggae. This is a great song if you want to start entering the world of root reggae.
6. Circles by Social Repose (A Capella Cover) (Originally by Pierce the Veil)
I really do love Richie, and his video is my guilty pleasure, but his A Capella covers are killer! I mean, eargasm worthy! His voice is one of a kind, and he can always transform a song completely!
7. 4AM by Huntar
I went through a major Huntar phase last month, and this is one of the catchiest songs, plus it’s a newish release.
Hunter is a really soul, alternative artist that just gets you in the mood for life.
8. No One’s Here to Sleep (feat. Bastille) by Naughty Boy
I only like this song because of How To Get Away With Murder. It played at the end of an episode, and now it’s stuck in my head, I can’t really not like it now, so that’s why it’s on the list.
9. Somebody Told Me by The Killers
This is a very in-your-face but still kick-back alternative song, it’s almost a mix of alternative, dance and a bit of rock, very weird mix, but worth your time.
10. Best To You by Blood Orange
I feel like this is very Oh Wonder but with a bit of bam dance beat. You can listen to this when you want to wind down and also when you want to have a personal dance party. A very versatile song!
Much love, Rawan
