Hello to all the fangirls (and fanboys, just fan-people in general)! Today, I’m revisiting a post that I wrote around this time last year.
I did a post listing out some things that I was excited about that fall, and now I guess I’m doing another one!
I don’t know why I only do these in the fall, I should do winter and summer one’s as well (nothing really happens in the spring if we’re being honest).
Mostly, there are book and TV show releases in the next couple months, so let’s just jump right into it!
1. American Horror Story Season 6 (TV)
Now, I actually mentioned AHS season 5 in my last post, so that’s kind of funny 😂.
If you’ve been following my blog for a while now, you’ll know that my favorite show of all time is American Horror Story, I mean I’m basically AHS trash at this point if I’m being honest.
The whole point of this season is that it’s a mystery, up till now, we know that it’s called 6_?, and I seriously don’t know what to think of it.
I really like the cast (still kind of salty about Jessica Lange leaving last season, but I’ll get over it), and I’m so excited to have Lady Gaga back during this season, because I’m also Lady Gaga trash, so…
I’m also really pumped after seeing the really gory promo posters, but I don’t really know what to expect, as I said.
2. How To Get Away With Murder Season 3 (TV)
I actually thought this show was all out when I started it, but it turns out that here are only 2 seasons out (30 episodes in total).
I’m not gonna go too in detail because I’m thinking of doing a My Current Addiction post about it soon.
If you’ve been reading my post for a while, you’ll know that I’m really interested in law (criminal law in particular), so when I started it and found out that we follow law students , I freaked the fuck out and binged on all 2 seasons in a span of 2 weeks.
3. Flash Season 3 (TV)
I also mentioned this in my post last year when season 2 was coming out, and I’m going to have to confess… I didn’t finish watching the second season…
I’m going to rewatch season 1 and continue season 2 so I’m ready for when the third one comes out, and you can bet your asses that I’ll be following that with Jana*
4. Girl On The Train (Book to Movie Adaptation)
I read The Girl on the Train by Paula Hawkins in 2015, and it was one of the best mind fucks that I’ve had in a long time. I mean this book was just brilliant, and now that the movie is coming out, I’m just anxious to see if they’re going to be able to transfer all that awesomeness.
My friend Hawra’a (hi, if you’re reading this), and I have been stalking the trailer, and frankly, I wasn’t the biggest fan of the cast, but now they kind of grew on me.
I’m actually thinking of rereading this because it’s been so long since I read it for the first time, so that’s gonna probably happen sometime before the movie comes out.
5. Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children (Book to Movie Adaptation)
When I first read this, I was really raving about it, but after I read the sequel, Hollow City, I kind of switched to meh.
But I’m pretty excited about the movie, because Tim Burton is going to be directing it, and I’ve yet to be disappointed by his movies, so… My hopes are high/low depending on how you see it…
I’m also pretty iffy about the whole thing because I’ve heard that they changed some of the kid’s powers etc.; I’m not sure how that’s going to play out, but hoping for the best again.
6. Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them (Book to Movie Adaptation)
POTTER HEADS UNITE!
Yeah. I don’t care if it’s a shitty movie, we got 2 harry potter things this year, so I’m content.
You don’t know how excited I got when I found out that this movie was coming out (it was finals January 2016 and I cried at school, that’s the summary of how that day went)
I never actually thought about what wizardry was outside of Hogwarts, so this is going to be a whole new magic experience!
AND DID I MENTION THAT THIS IS NEW HARRY POTTER SHIT?!
7. Heartless by Marissa Meyer (Book)
I’ve been totally addicted to the Lunar Chronicles lately, and god damn I need some new Marissa Meyer!
Her writing is so unique and just different in this way that sucks you into this whole world and she totally rocks when it comes to retellings!
I also have this strange attraction to villain backstories, that’s also a plus!
8. Gemina by Amie Kaufman and Jay Kristof (Book)
I think anyone who follows some kind of book blog or channel will know about Illuminae, because everyone was hyping it up when it came out last year, and it’s happening all over again with the sequel Gemina!
I read, and loved, Illumina when I read it earlier this year, and I’ve been looking forward to the sequel ever since I turned the last page!
I’m actually thinking of rereading Illuminae before I pick up this one, but I’m not sure yet.
That’s all I have for you today! Is there anything that’s coming out this fall that you’re super excited for? If you do, then leave it in the comments down below!
Much love, Rawan ❤ …
