Pokemon Indigo League Read-a-thon #ReadThemAllThon TBR | Read-a-Thons, Books

Hey, guys! So today, I’m participating in another read-a-thon! Yay!

After my outstanding success during the Booktube-a-Thon (you can check out my read-a-thon wrap up for that here), I decided to join another one and see how much I can read during that!

This one is a little different… As it is the Pokemon Indigo League Read-a-thon, it’s pokémon themed (I don’t really know a lot about pokémon, but you don’t really have to know anything about it to join), and it’s 3 weeks long! Also, I’m joining this with my best friend, Jana, so HI JANA!

Now click on read more to know what this is all about.

Okay, so I’m just gonna start off with the basics. What, when, where to sign-up, and what the challenges are.

What is the Pokemon Indigo League read-a-thon?

It’s like any read-a-thon, you have to read as many books as you can during a certain amount of time while completing some challenges.

This read-a-thon has an extra bonus and that is the pokémon theme that’s going on.

It takes place for the 3 weeks that are from Sunday 14th August to Sunday 4th September.

Where can you join the POKEMON INDIGO LEAGUE READ-A-THOn?

You can make a video or post (like this one) announcing that you’re joining the read a thon and then comment it on the sign-up page on readatmidnight.com

I decided to go with Falling Kingdoms by Morgan Rhodes, because I’ve been meaning to read this for the longest time, and I’ve just been in the mood for fantasy, so why not get started with this series finally?

And people say that it’s like a young adult version of Game of Thrones, which is another series I’ve been meaning to start.

The first thing that came to mind was TFIOS, so I chose The Fault In Our Stars by John Green because I know I’m gonna shed a shit ton of tears while reading that one, not to mention, I still haven’t read it… DON’T KILL ME!

I watched the movie, so I already know what’s gonna happen, but… I’m still gonna read it, just so I can see the book experience.

Plus, I’ve been trying to read all of John Green’s books before his new one comes out.

For this one, I think I’m gonna go with Winter by Marissa Meyer. I put this book in my Booktube-a-thon TBR but didn’t end up reading it because it’s like 800 pages, but I think I can do it during this one as it’s 3 weeks long.

This finale to the Lunar Chronicles got so much hype at the end of 2015, so I’m sure it qualifies!

BUT! If I don’t get to that one during the read a thon, I’m thinking of picking up The Raven Boys by Maggie Steivater, because god knows how much people hype this up!

As I mentioned earlier, I’m in a bit of fantasy kick, so I went with that and picked Carry On by Rainbow Rowell.

This is also a chunkier book, but I’m sure I can get through it this read a thon.

I wasn’t really sure what book to pick, but I ended up choosing Anna and the French Kiss by Stephinie Perkins because everyone says that this companion series is gold. So let’s see if it really is.

At first, I was gonna go with City of Fallen Angels by Cassandra Clare because I’m reading City of Glass right now, but I eneded up picking Fallen by Lauren Kate instead because it’s been sitting on my shelf for almost a year now just waiting to be read.

It’s about angels,  I think, so I’m pretty sure it counts!
readthemallthon-badge07-flameThis one was so easy! I’ve already been wanting to read A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J. Mass, so I deicded to pick it up during this read a thon to complete this challenge, and I’m pretty sure it’ll be awesome.

Again, the fantasy kick is overpowering, I know.

I didn’t really have any book that fit this challenge except Not a Drop to Drink by Mindy McGinnis, so I’m kinda forced to read it.

But the whole concept seems really cool, so I’m pretty sure I’ll get through it easily.

Much love, Rawan❤ …
