Hey, guys! Today, I have a really exciting post for you to read!
We all know that feeling of being left out while other people are having fun. It’s all too familiar.
It’s all about getting rid of FOMO (fear of missing out) and empowering GOMO (going out more often)!
I’ll be sharing why GOMO is great for you, and my plans on how I’ll be empowering GOMO!
Now, I’m not gonna tell you that FOMO is this horrible thing that you can just get rid of in a couple days. It isn’t.
It’s so easy for us to just sit at home and watch movies all day, or sit and read or something so antisocial. But when you go on Twitter, Instagram and all the other social media you use, you keep seeing people at a party or concert or something. And now you feel like you’re missing out.
This is FOMO, which is also known as the fear of missing out.
Most of us have it to an extent, but let’s be honest, who doesn’t like to have a day (or week) to themselves and just watch Netflix?! If you say you don’t, then you’re for sure lying.
But it isn’t that good for our social lives… And that’s why GOMO should be your new moto!
I’m gonna be sharing some of my GOMO plans for this summer, and I wish that you guys would do that too in the comments so we can inspire each other to go out more often!
I also want to mention that I wrote a post about the 5 things that I want to do this summer late last month, so you can go check that out, because that includes more of the casual stuff.
My GOMO Plans for June/July:
I have 3 trips planned for this summer, 2 of which are to Morocco, and the other one is to Los Angeles! By the time you’re reading this right now, I’m already on the last day of my trip!
I love to travel, so this is quite an exciting one! You’re not only going out of your house; you’re going out of your city.
I’ll make sure to post a little ‘My Trip to LA’ kind of post so you guys can see the photos I took!
I’ve been wanting to go to photography classes for so long! It’s one of my passions, and I just really want to expand my knowledge on it.
I already know a couple of people who are going to the same classes next month, so it’s also quite great in the aspect that it’s going to help me meet new people!
During these couple days, there’s gonna be a little festival in the older parts of Jeddah where people com together to see how the old city looked like, and just celebrate Ramadan in general!
It’s really beautiful with it’s lights and lanterns; you can almost sense the happiness in the air.
I’ll makes sure to take some photos to share with you guys too!
Lunch with Friends
This one is really simple, but with our busy schedules (travel, school registration etc) we rarely hang out anymore. So I’m going to be planning a couple days that we can all just get together and eat lunch, or go somewhere!
I hope you enjoyed this post! I loved this campaign, and it really inspired me, so I hope it had the same effect on you!
Share your GOMO plans with me in comments, write your own post, or if you’re really inspired check out the event management software from Eventbrite and create your own event!
Much love, Rawan …
