Why I Love Photography | Photography, Collaboration

Hey, guys! Today’s post is an exciting one! I’m going to be sharing some reasons to as why I love photography, and how it changed my life, but that’s not all! This is a collaboration with one of my fellow bloggers!

I’m collaborating with Vlad from vladvaida.com to create this post! He’s going to be writing a post about how photography can change your life, and how it changed his life.

His blog is truly one of the best that I’ve read in a while, so if that doesn’t encourage you to go check him out, then I don’t know what will. He has clean and fresh content that will inspire your lazy ass to get off the couch or at least get your brain thinking.

1. It Captures moments in my life

From snapping a picture of my lunch for Instagram to taking a photo of the leaning tower of Pisa in Italy for memories, photos save memories for generations to come.

I remember being really little and asking my grandma to come see some photos from her old polaroid photos that she’s saved for decades, and just being completely fascinated by them.

Photos are heirlooms, and just as valuable as that vase that your mom’s saved for years, or that necklace that your grandma passed down to you.

Capturing the moment and saving it is so precious, and photography lets you do just that.

2. It opens my eyes to the beauty of the world

I’m sure that any fellow photographer will know what I’m talking about. When you’re just walking down the street, you don’t really pay attention to that rose bush on the side or that beautiful orange tree behind your house, but when you go out with your camera in hand, all these beautiful scenes are amplified.

You just somehow get to see the world through this lens that makes everything much more fluorescent and magnificent.

3. It expresses my personality indirectly

Every photographer has their own style. It’s not that obvious, it’s just the way I take the photo or what I photograph. The angle or the brightness and overall mood of the photo.

It all just expresses my style and personal touch, but without being so BAM in your face.

4. Relaxes me

I’m not sure if this is the thing with other people, but for me, it really is relaxing.

Just looking through the lens and having this whole frame being controlled by me, is just so empowering somehow. I can’t really explain why it relaxes me, but it really does.

How photography changed my life:

As I mentioned before, it just opened up my eyes to a different world. It just made me look at the world in a totally different way, ever since I started really getting into photography.

It just made me appreciate the little everyday things that are around me.

I’m usually good with words, but I feel that describing what photography, and other passions make me feel is just almost impossible. There aren’t enough words in the English dictionary.

Much love, Rawan ❤ …
