Everything, Everything by Nicola Yoon | Book Review

Hey, beautiful! Today, I’m back with another book review!

Today’s book is Everything, Everything by Nicola Yoon!

This was feature in one of Katytastic’s videos a while back, and I thought the plot line was just so interesting that I had to read it! And guess what I did… I read it.

I actually read this in 2 days, which is fairly fast for me, as I am a fairly average speed reader (takes me about 4-7 days to finish a book). So that will tell you something!

320 pages

SYNOPSIS:

My disease is as rare as it is famous. Basically, I’m allergic to the world. I don’t leave my house, have not left my house in seventeen years. The only people I ever see are my mom and my nurse, Carla.

But then one day, a moving truck arrives next door. I look out my window, and I see him. He’s tall, lean and wearing all black—black T-shirt, black jeans, black sneakers, and a black knit cap that covers his hair completely. He catches me looking and stares at me. I stare right back. His name is Olly.

Maybe we can’t predict the future, but we can predict some things. For example, I am certainly going to fall in love with Olly. It’s almost certainly going to be a disaster.

REVIEW:

download (6)I picked this up on a whim, because I didn’t really know much about the plot; but oh boy, this was a good choice!

I just got so attached to he characters and the plot of the book that I flew through the pages faster than you can imagine.

First of all, you get to see what life is like when you’ve literally haven’t left the house for 18 years.

You get to see how maddy spends her time, when she can’t leae the house.

I can’t really believe that Nicola Yoon could create this beautiful, well written novel as her debut book. If her first book is this great, then I can’t wait to see what she has under her sleeves.

You get to see how vibrant and lovable these characters are, and how much you’ll get to love them in such a short period of time.

There are a couple OH.MY.GOD moments, which just really blew my mind throughout this book, and I just loved it.

I love how we get to see their little cobverstations through IM, and email, and how they would just have silent conversations through the windows. It just makes you feel like you’re there in the scene looking at it happening.

I also loved the little ilustrations throughout the book like the little lab reports, and checklists. It really did feel like we were going throught this whole thing with Maddy!

These are some that I personally loved!

I don’t feel like I can describe what I feel about the book, unless I get into spoilers, which I clearly don’t want to do, but I’m trying to it anyways.

I loved the romance in this book, because it wasn’t an overload, but just enough to get you squeaking!

And don’t even get me started on the killer plot twist at the end! I didn’t expect it, but now that I read it, I can see a couple little hints.

Overall,I gave this book a 5/5 on goodreads.

5 stars
