Hey, beautiful! Today, I have a post that I’m super excited about!!!!
I’m gonna be reviewing Invisble and Castaway by 5 Seconds of Summer!
If you didn’t already know, these are songs from their latest album, Sounds Good Feels Good.
These are one of my favourite songs from the album, so I’m just gonna give you a quick review of them!
I hope you enjoy!
As you may already know, I’m a big fan of 5sos, so I think you can already guess that this is gonna be a 5/5 star rating😂
But I will try to give you a good review of the songs. I may even do more of these in the future! Request more, if you want.
The song opens up with a biti of a mystical feeling to it. The drums and guitar in the back give the song a bit of a whimsical-like intro, but not really beacause the song is a bit slow.
The opening lyircs are:
Young love, close the chapter, there’s no ever after
Fell fast, ended faster, yeah
Late night conversations, led to complications
Now my heart is in my hands
But you walked out and left me stranded
Nothing left but picture frames
And I just keep on asking myself
If you just listen to the song, and focus on the lyrics, then I promise you, you’ll shed a tear or two -a couple hundred in my case-.
I feel like they put so much into their lyrics and just music in general, that you just can’t help but feel a connection to the song, which is exactly how music should make you feel.
I can’t really express to you how much I adore this song, because it connected to me in an emotional way. Music is about connecting with the artist and song, and this is exactly what happened.
If you haven’t listened to this song yet, then you should really go check it out. Please…
I love how this song starts; it opens with acoustic guitar in the background and what sounds like a bit of fire cracking.
Calum starts off singing, which I love, because his voice is kind of raspy (not really, its a mix of raspy and smooth. Its weird, but I love it!!)
The opening lyrics are:
Of painted walls and football on the TV
No one sees me
I fade away,
Lost inside a memory of someone’s life
It wasn’t mine
I was already missing before the night I left
Just me and my shadow and all of my regrets
Who am I? Who am I when I don’t know myself?
Who am I? Who am I?
I think that these lyrics are by far the best from the whole album (thats a bit of a hyberbole, but you get what I’m trying to say).
I connect with this song, more than I’ve ever connected with a song before.
The beat of the song is beautiful, the lyrics are beautiful, their voices are beautiful, and most importantly, their passion comes through.
I can’t really explain what this song makes me feel, other than It describes me perfectly, and it makes me feel at home.
You have to listen to this to understand what I mean, because it just tears at my heart, but in a good way.
As you can tell from my shitty descriptions, I really really really love these songs.
5sos are one of my all time favourite bands, so it’s not really a surprise to say that I give them 5/5.
You should listen to them.
Thats it. That’s all I need to tell you.
You should listen to them.
Thats it for this music review, I hope you enjoyed it, and request any songs or albums that you want me to review in the comments below.
Tell me what you think about them if you’ve listened tot hem before.
Much love, Rawan <3…
