My Favorite Music Releases of 2015

Hey, beautiful! Today, as you can see from the title, is a post just listing some of my favorite albums of 2015.

I know it is February right now, and we have been in 2016 for over a month now, but I decided to just post this anyways.

If you have been here for a while, then you know that music is a big part of my life, and I like sharing some recommendations for you, so I think that this is an important post for me to write.

I hope you enjoy…

(Dec. 30. 2016 Update: Now that I look back at this, I see that all mt descriptions were really lame and didn’t do any justice to the albums, so please just check them out and ignore my dumbass self’s writing. Thank you.)

*These are in no particular order*

Sounds Good Feels Good by 5 Seconds of Summer

Three words to describe this: BEST.ALBUM.EVER!

I stayed up all night waiting for the release of this! And it was so worth it!

I was gonna do a music review on this, but then I thought that it would be pretty boring to just read me fangirl over and over again trying to describe the songs.

This album really did touch my heart, it touched on some really personal subjects, and feelings; I felt like this album could understand me.

I listen to this when I workout, or when I read, or do homework. Basically what I’m trying to say is that there are some really up beat songs, and some slow songs.

When I heard Castaway and Broken Home, I shed a couple tears, because if you just listen to the lyrics, you just… I don’t know how to describe it.

Its almost like they’re talking to me, personally, and that is one of the best feelings.

5/5 stars!!!

American Beauty/American Psycho by Fall Out Boy

Whenever I listen to this album, I just remember Morocco for some reason.

One memory that just stuck with this album is me writing an email to a person I don’t really like. I think some of my viewers would know who it is…

The songs on this album really get you going, the drums get your head bobbing wihtout you even noticing which is a good sign.

I feel liek if someone is trying to get into alternative/rock music, then they sould really check this album out, because it isn’t really hard-core, but it kinda is…

Its hard to explain; when you listen to it, then you’ll know what I mean.

5/5 Stars

Blurryface by Twenty One Pilots

I think most of my viewers have alteast heard one song from this album, maybe even on the radio.

When this came out, I just got so obssesed with it! I would keep it on repeat and not change it under any circumstance! It was kind of funny.

I love the beat of the whole album, because every song just has the perfect tone that makes the whole thing just work out amazingly.

The lyrics have some really deep meanings if you read in between the lines, and I think that is what makes a good album in general.

Again, if you’re new to alternative/rock music, then you should check this out, and even if you’re not, then just give this a chance.

5/5 stars

Badlands by Halsey

This is kind of was the same situation as SGFL (Sounds Good Feels Good), because I kept waiting for Halsey to come out with her debut album for so long, and then when I heard it was actually coming out, I went crazy!!!

I stayed up all night until it came out, and then I kept listening to it till the early morning; yes I was sleep deprived for the rest of the day, but atlest I listened to some amazing music.

If you heard the album, you know that Halsey’s lyrics are literal heaven! I don’t know how someone can be this good at song writing!

I so want a 5sos/Halsey collab. THAT SHOULD BE A THING!

5/5 stars

That’s the Spirit by Bring Me the Horizon

This is one of the best albums to come out this year!

Thats all you need to know.

The whole feel of the album is just fantastic, and I like that this is more on the screemo side of rock music, but the lyrics are really good!

If you’ve read my posts around the time of the release, then you knwo that I was raving about this!

When I first listened to Drown, I actually shed a couple tears, because I related to the lyrics so much.

5sos actually did a cover of Drown, which I just fell in love with.

This whole album just gives me this feeling, that nothing else ever gave me, and I’m forever grateful to BMTH for that.

I Can Feel It by Hey Violet (EP)

I found out about Hey Violet when 5sos signed them to Hi or Hey Records.

I remember the day this EP came out very clearly, because it was the same day that She’s Kinda Hot came out, and I was just in complete bliss that day!

This EP is just a great ‘getting over some one’ go-to. It’s a good pick me up, and the lyrics get your blood pumping.

If you haven’t checked out Hey Violet out already, then you really need to get to it! They’re blowing up, and if you want to jum on the bandwagon (yes I just made that pun), then this is the time.

Madness by Sleeping With Sirens

I feel like I say this about all of these albums, but I was addicted to this when it first came out. I still love it, but you know how it is when you listen to an album for so long on repeat, it kinda loses its spark, but then when you listen to it again after a while, you remember all the good times.

This again, is more on the screemo side of rock, but the lyrics are really good, and the beat gets your blood pumping, which is what I look for in an album.

There are some songs that are just staples in my playlists, and some of the songs that I just got a bit sick of, but this album in general, was amazing!

Here Now by Brayton Bowman

I first found out about Brayton Bowman from ThatsSoJack, and I’m so happy that I watched that video at that time, because now Brayton is one of my favourite artists.

When I listened to this EP, I just felt like it talks to me, and just makes me feel like I can be who I want to be, with no one ever judging me.

Its weird how things make us feel different feelings, even if they’re not living things.

I always recommend Brayton’s music to people, and I promise you, that if you haven’t alreyd listend to him, then you will fall in love with this ep faster than you can say here now.

Not An Apology by Bea Miller

I actually have never heard of Bea Miller before this.

I was looking for a song on ITunes, and I just found this in the new releases section, so I decided to check it out; and here we are today, with it on my favourite albums of 2015 list.

I don’t really reach for albums like this very often; and by that I mean albums that are pop-ey girly, but this oen just had a certain charm that hooked me.

I liked the lyrics, and Bea’s voice is just so strong, that you just can’t not listen to it over and over.

If you need a pick me up, then you should listen to this!

A Head Full Of Dreams by Coldplay

This was a very late 2015 release, but it was in 2015.

You may have read about this in my new music releases post, which you can read here, and as I said in there, this album just has a certain charm to it, that keeps you hooked to it.

Its really calm, but up beat at the same time, which I adore, and wish would happen more often.

If you have twitter, then I’m sure you’ve seen people tweeting about it.

You can read more about what I think about this album

The Book Of Souls by Iron Maiden

If you’ve been here for a while, then you know that I’m a big fan of Iron Maiden, so this one is a no brainer.

Its a bit more chill than the other albums, but I like that a lot.

I haven’t listened to this in a while, so I’m a bit a bit rusty on the details, but whatever, I’m writing this post now.

As I mentioned, the music is beautiful, and so is the artwork on the album cover. Like how can you overlook that, its just catches your attention!

Anyways, go check it out!

Black Lines by Mayday Parade

Of course this made it on to the list! How can Mayday Parade not invade our ears with their beautiful music?!

If you’ve not listened to Black Lines yet, then I don’t know what you’ve been doing with your life!

This is kinda like SGFG, but not really. Just in the fact that it has chill songs, and some really up beat songs.

I like listening to this while writing (actually listening to it right now😂)

Blue Neighbourhood by Troye Sivan

You may have read my New Music Releases post where I fangirled over this!

I love Troye’s music, and now that he has a whole album out, I can listen to his voice over and over.

I know this will sound weird, but his voice is just so calm that it feels like some one is singing right into my ear, and that is just so AHH!

If you’ve heard some of Troye’s music, then you know that it is quite calm and flowy (I don’t know if that is a good term to descibe music, but I’ll use it anyways) somehow, and this album is no difference.

Made Violent by Made Violent (EP)

If you’ve read my music tags, then you know that I love and adore Made Voilent!

I have been a fan for a while, and can’t wait for them to makde new music!

They aonly have this EP out right now, but I’m sure that their new music will be just as good!

The beat of the whole ep just gets you nodding your head and singing along without even noticing.

X by Ed Shereen

C’mmon! We’ve all listened to -and loved- this album throughout this year.

I think that this will be an evergreen album which future generations will listen to and adore just as much as we have right now.

I don’t think I need to talk about this album anymore, because I’m sure you’ve heared way too much.

Dream Your Life Away by Vance Joy

I was one of the few people that hopped on the wagon when Riptide was still not that popular; and here we are now, with a whole album from Vance!

His voice just really relaxing, and he’s blowing up right now because he’s touring/toured with Taylor Swift.

I don’t really have alot to say about this, just that I’m really happy that Vance put out his debut album, and that I really enjoyed listening to it!

she's kinda hot

She’s Kinda Hot by 5 Seconds of Summer (EP)

We started off this list with 5sos, and I’m ending it with 5sos!😂

It kills me that this is only out in the UK, but I found a way to listen to it (illegally yes, but I need to listen to this!!!!😖)

I adored all of the songs, but my all time favourites are Over and Out and The Girl Who Cried Wolf –which is on the album, so I can listen to it!!! YAY!!-

Again, if you’ve been putting off listening to 5sos because you think they’re a ‘boyband’ just give them a try! They’re not the 1 Direction type (nothing against 1D). They make amazing pop-punk music, and they should be getting more credit for what they really do, and that is save people with their beautiful, well written, lyrics; and music that lifts us up to cloud 9.

I will have a whole post on why I love 5sos, and their music up soon, so wait up for that!

Much love, Rawan <3…
