Hey, beautiful! Today, I’m writing my second book review!
I just finished reading Girl Online: On Tour by Zoe Sugg, and I decided to review it for you guys!
I will also be giving a mini review for Girl Online at the end.
So lets get into this; don’t forget to tell me how you feel about this book if you’ve read it!
This will contain mild spoilers for the first book Girl Online, so take care of that.
Mild Spoilers (for Girl Online)
Publication Date:October 22nd 2015

Page Count: 352 pages
Series: Girl Online duology (#2)
Penny’s bags are packed.
When Noah invites Penny on his European music tour, she can’t wait to spend time with her rock-god-tastic boyfriend.
But, between Noah’s jam-packed schedule, less-than-welcoming bandmates and threatening messages from jealous fans, Penny wonders whether she’s really cut out for life on tour. She can’t help but miss her family, her best friend Elliot . . . and her blog, Girl Online.
Can Penny learn to balance life and love on the road, or will she lose everything in pursuit of the perfect summer?
As you may know already, this is the sequel of Zoe’s first book Girl Online.
I read that book around May of last year (2015), and I gave it a 3/5 stars on Goodreads, but I’ll get to that in a moment, as I’ll be giving you a little review of that later.
To be completely honest, I’m not sure if I like the sequel…
It’s a cheesy young-adult-romance. It doesn’t have the best writing; it doesn’t have the best characters; and it has an predictable plot. But it’s so addicting!
Up until the last 5 chapters, I really didn’t like it. If I stopped, and rated it at chapter 50, then I would have given it a 2/5 stars, but the plot twist made it better.
So if you read the synopsis, you know that Penny goes on tour with her rockstar boyfriend, but then they run into a couple problems, which make her question if she’s meant for the tour life.
There is also this ‘stalker’ that tries to break her up with Noah, by black-mail. But is it a stalker, or is it someone she knows?
Throughout reading this whole book, I kept smiling; and if you’ve read this, you know how I feel.
There are just so many cute couple moments, which just make you wan to be in a relationship.
I saw this review on Goodreads that just got me thinking. It said that this book reads like a fanfiction. And now that I’ve read that, I kinda see it.
If you replace Noah with another celebrity, you can totally make it a fanfic.
And I kind of understand that because this book was aimed for 12-16 year olds, but of course you can read it at any age.
The ending was just…. AHGGGH! I hate cliffhangers, so this just frustrated me! I was so sure ________ was gonna happen, but then it didn’t! I didn’t cry, but I did get really really frustrated.
If you’ve read the book, you know how cheesy the last page was, and I’m not sure I would call it a good kind of cheesy.
Basically, this was a quick and fun read; not something that will make you really think and understand the take away of the book. Which is good sometimes.
I gave this book 3/5 stars.
GIRL ONLINE (FIRST BOOK IN duology):
Publication Date: November 25th 2014
Publisher: Atria / Keywords Press
Page Count: 352 pages
Series: Girl Online duology (#1)
I’m just gonna say that I read this a while ago, so my memory isn’t exactly fresh, but I’ll give you a quick review.
I do remember that I liked it more than the sequel.
I just related to Penny more in this book, than the sequel.
The romance in this book, was a bit better -still very cheesy-, and I did aww quite a lot throughout the whole book.
My favourite characters actually weren’t Penny or Noah, but they were Saidy-Lea and Elliot.
I absolutely adore Elliot! I so want to have him as a best friend! (sorry Jana)
This was a cute contemporary book, but I didn’t think it needed a sequel…
I thought it ended on a good note, but the end of the sequel was just FRUSTRATING! UGH!
Please, someone, read the sequel so I can rant to you 😓
That’s all I’m gonna say about this book.
I also gave this 3/5 stars on good reads.
