Hello, and welcome to another blogpost! Today, I’m going to be sharing some tips that help me when travelling. If you don’t know already, I get really anxious when traveling, which is quite ironic because my dad is a pilot, but anyways, I freak the fuck out when I travel especially during take off, landing, and any turbulence. So over the years, I have compiled a list of tips to calm me down a bit, and I thought that it would be a good idea if I shared them with you incase you have the same problem.
When you pack your carry-on make sure to not pack your bag to the rim, because when you get your tickets and maybe if you buy a magazine, you need to have some room. When I have to dig through, it just stresses me out, so when I have more room to find my stuff it just makes things easier and quicker.
When it comes to take off time, I just put on my headphones and blast a really loud song. This just takes my mind off (pun intended) the fact that I’m in a meal tube that weighs a ton, which will be flying in the air. On my lats flight I played Happy Song by Bring Me the Horizon, and if you read my New Music Releases post you know that I love the whole album and especially . I use the same method for landing too.
Drink a lot of water on the plane, even if you have to go to the bathroom a lot. Because the air in the plane dries your skin out and when you land your face will look so close to a snake’s.
Always pack a scarf. I know that planes get so cold, and I always wear a sweater, but end up freezing to death, or somebody needs something to keep warm, so keeping a scarf is essential. This is a simple thing that makes travelling so much easier and carefree.
During take off and landing, if you get anxious, just try not to look through the window and focus on the music. I just like to imagine that I’m in the car just going home. I know this seems stupid, but the little things help a load.
I hope you enjoyed this quick post.
