Back-to-School Hairstyle Ideas (Collaboration)

Aloha, beautiful people of the Inter-webs! Today, I come to you with a back to school post! You are going to get double the fun today; I am collaborating with Uruba from today, so you will have a makeup tutorial on her blog, and a hairstyle ideas post here. I will be showing you 6 hairstyles that you can wear to school and pull together quickly. I hope you enjoy this post, and I have some more beac to school posts coming up soon 🙂 (All videos in this post are not mine, and I gave the creators full credit)

  • Ponytail

This is a classic, but it can be more interesting if you add your little touch. I like this because it is really quick and gets my hair out of my face. I have a post on 5 ways you can spice up your ponytail, if you don’t want it to look plain and old. Other than that, it is quite simple.

  • Half Up, Half Down

This is also a really quick and simple hairstyle that I wear when I have a good hair day, or want something a little more fancy. you just have to take the upper layer of your hair and pin it back with either bobby pins, a clip, or even a hair-tie. It leaves your hair down but you still get to have it away from your face.

  • Braided Bun

This is a twist on the usual bun. All you have to do is put your hair in a ponytail situated in the place you want your bun to be. Then you section the ponytail into two parts; braid them, then twist them into a bun. Secure them with an elastic and bobby pins.

  • Side bun

This is also just a twist on the usual bun. All you have to do is put the bun at the side of your head instead of at the back of your head. It looks good in some people but with some face shapes it doesn’t really look that good. This my face shape it doesn’t really look good, but some people look gorgeous in it.

  • 4 strand braid

This is a really cool braid to do when you have that little bit of extra time on your hands before you got to school. All you have to do is weave your hair. So you have to seperate your hair into 4 strands, take the first section from the left and pull it under the second, over the third, and under the fourth. Repeat this until you reach the end of your hair. You can See this video made by beautyandbraid01 here if you want to see the tutorial.

  • Overhead braids

This is a really cute updo for when you want your hair up and away from Your face. All you have to do is part your hair in the middle or side, then braid the two sections. Drag one of the sections to the other side of your head and pin it in place, do the same for the other side, and you are done.
