Review: Maybelline The Nudes Pallet

Aloha, beautiful people of the Inter-webs! Today, I am giving you my review on Maybelline’s newly famous ‘The Nudes’ pallet. I bought this back in December, but I never really got into writing a review about it until now. I have been using this a lot recently, so that was also another reason why I really want to share this. the nudes maybelline the nudes maybelline2 This pallet comes with 12 eyeshadows in a slim, black, plastic case with a clear window to view the shadows when closed. On the back of the pallet, there is a mapping diagram to divide it into: quads, trios, and duos, to make things easier for beginners. I think that is a great addition to the pallet and more brands should do this. I really like how the trios are grouped, so that is mostly what I use.the nudes back maybelline the nudes nummberd

The eyeshadows come in a variety of finishes; they come in satin, matte and shimmer. Not all the shades are very smooth, but some are just buttery smooth and pigmented, while some are just plain chalky and dry. I find that the dark shimmer/metallic shades are better quality, while the mattes are sadly the worst quality. I will list my favourite colours and my least favourite colours.

  • Best quality and pigmentation: 6, 3, 7, 8, 10
  • Best quality not very pigmented: 5, 2, 9, 4, 11,
  • Worst quality: 1, 12

If you wan tot wear the shades without a primer, then they will last for 3-4 hours then will start rubbing off and creasing; but if you wear it with a primer than they will last about 6 hours depending on the primer you use. I just wanted to mention, that this is one of the first pallets the drugstore has seen, I don’t count NYX because not all their pallets are available at the drugstore so you have to order it online. But this ob the other hand, is widely available at the drugstore. This retails for about $10.00 but it depends on the drugstore you go to. I, personally, got this for $9.99 at Wallgreens.
