Drugstore Summer Makeup Tutorial

Aloha, beautiful people of the Inter-webs! I am sharing this look for the people who want an easy and affordable summer makeup tutorial! If you have any post suggestions, leave them in the comments section, and I will get back to them as soon as possible! I will be putting a link to where you can buy the products at the end of each paragraph. I will try to kep it all from Amazon because they ship worldwide, but if not I will link it to a drugstore or the brand’s site.

1. MAT BASE CORRECTOR PRIMER- KIKO

You always have to prime your face, and the summer time is not an exception. I have really oily skin, and in the summer we get a bit sweaty; when oil and sweat mix you need to do something or your makeup will be long gone! I use this primer almost as much as I use my Benefit Porefessional.

2. STAY ALL DAY FOUNDATION- ESSENCE

This foundation is really great for the summer because it doesn’t slip and slide everywhere during the day. I would apply this mostly on the places that need it so you don’t cover your face with a think layer of foundation for no reason. It gives you a semi-matte finish so you don’t have to set it with a powder, but you can if you want to.

3. SKIN RENEW ANTI-DARK CIR  EYEROLLER- GARNIER

This is what we call heaven in a bottle! It gives you a good amount of coverage, cools your under eyes, and prevents puffiness and dark circles! Roll this in a triangle shape under your eye to give you the illusion of an eye lift.

4. BB NUDE MAGIQUE POWDER- L’ORÉAL

If you follow my blog, you will know that this is my holy grail powder, high-end or drugstore! So if I can Only recommend one product to you, it would be this. apply this on the places that you previously applied concealer and foundation with a powder brush or puff.

5. FIT ME BLUSH IN DEEP ROSE- MAYBELLINE

I have a love-hate relationship with this blush, but at the moment, I am in LOVE with it. The problem is, it isn’t that pigmented. I like to have a slight blush, so the pigment amount makes it easy for me not to over-blush. The colour of the blush on the other hand, is beautiful! It is a deep pink with red undertones. It gives the same effect as if you were really blushing. Focus on applying the blush on the back of your cheekbones to give you a dramatic flush, but if you want a natural blush, swipe this from the apples of your cheeks to the back of your cheekbones.

6. HIGH DEFINITION EYE BASE- NYX

This is one of the best drugstore primers I have found! It keeps your eyeshadow put for a ridiculous amount of time and doubles the pigmentation. You just apply it like you would with any cream product. Duh! :p

7. SUNCLUB GLAMOUR TO GO EYESHADOW PALLET IN SOUTH BEACH- ESSENCE

This is one of those products that look cheap, but in reality they are amazing quality for a low price. It gives you 4 neutral colours and 4 colourful colours, so you can do your regular neutral look (medium base colour on lid, darker colour in the crease, and a light colour in the inner-corner.) then line your lower las-line with the bright blue to give you that colourful summer vibe! The shadows here are really smooth and pigmented, even without a primer.

8. THE ROCKET MASCARA- MAYBELLINE

This is one of my favourite drugstore mascaras I have ever tried! I think it is really underrated, but this is my little gem! I like to apply a thin coat at first then come back and layer it on to get the best results.

9. POUT POLISH IN FROSTING- SLEEK

During the summer, I hate wearing lipstick because it dries out my lips, so I mostly use tinted lip balms. This is one of the prettiest colours I have ever seen, and it smells AMAZING! It has a really nice vanilla scent to it. It keeps your lips hydrated and gives pigment; best combo ever.
